The beautiful Fairy tale Emilita and the Fairy Glen is part theatrical poem, part theater, influenced by the beat poets and harkening back to a whimsical Irish tradition.

She stares at innocence perched on a toadstool” is a quote from the poem/play Emilita and the Fairy Glen. This work harkens back to Irish mythology to stories such as Glas Gaivien where a woman who steals a cow ends up provoking a war. Instead Emilita angers the King of Mist and is banished from the Fairy Glen. The King of Mist can come across as a victim, but the theme of the piece explores the boundaries of chaos and order. The heroine of the piece also elicits her dark side, and during the war battle she cries “love spills as passion on the ocean’s floor.” Lopez the actor says, “the play made something out these elements that is beautiful and the world we created is interesting and compelling all based upon imagination, movement and dreaming.
